Its fun to play pranks on unsuspecting coworkers, especially if it doesn’t cause permanent damage to their stuff, as that often leads to escalated pranks where everyone hates each other. This is a fun app that I wrote in VB that allows you to change someones wallpaper to a screen shot of what ever is up at the time. You may be asking yourself “how is that a funny prank?” Well don’t ask yourself; ask me.

I will tell you how its funny by explaining how you use this app. First put it on a disk or thumb drive. Second, when the time is right (like during a restroom break) you run over to their computer and start the app. Minimize or close all the applications so that only the desktop is visible. Then click Go. This program will take a screen shot and make it their background. Then it will move all of their shortcuts to a folder “C:\ChangeBackgroundTo\”. It will look like their icons are there but they can’t click them. Your coworker will try to restart their computer and call you over to show you how their icons can’t be clicked. When you can no longer stand it and you burst into laughter, they will know that you’re up to no-good. So the next task will be to undo the process. Simply start the app again and click the Undo button. The undo will move all the icons back to the desktop. Your prankee will need to rearrange their icons afterwards.
